Embellish your home with a taste of old rural Ireland, by purchasing this 'Life in the Fast Lane' sculpture. Representing an Irish staple of times gone by, where farmers would haul their haystacks into storage for the upcoming winter using a donkey and cart (at least the farmers lucky enough to own these - the poorest would have to load an entire haystack onto a poor donkey's back). This sculpture has been wonderfully handcrafted in pewter, measuring 17" long.

The ancient craft of pewter making was revived in Ireland by Paddy Collins in Mullingar in 1974. Paddy's son Peter now runs the business and it employs 16 people from the local area. Most of the pieces are still made in the traditional way in our own workshop by Irish men and women, specially trained in the old casting methods, meticulous assembly and delicate hand finishing.
