A Pewter Claddagh Christmas Tree Decoration, Beautifully Gift Boxed (will be red or green) with a matching Gift Tag. Special offer if you buy any 4 Tree Decorations!
The design is that of the Claddagh taken from the famous love symbol designed in the town of Claddagh, Co. Galway by Richard Joyce back in the year 1689. The design is often used for wedding rings as it is based on the ring that Richard made for his bride to be. The symbolisms are "hands for friendship", "heart for love" and "crown for loyalty".

The ancient craft of pewter making was revived in Ireland by Paddy Collins in Mullingar in 1974. Paddy's son Peter now runs the business and it employs 16 people from the local area. Most of the pieces are still made in the traditional way in our own workshop by Irish men and women, specially trained in the old casting methods, meticulous assembly and delicate hand finishing.
