Emblazoned with a stylised Celtic Lion and icovellavna design, this pewter goblet (8 oz, 5 1/4" tall) celebrates one of the four Evangelists, Mark.
The lion is a symbol of power, strength, courage, and assertiveness, and often referred to as the king of beasts. The winged lion used to represent St. Mark is often winged, occassionally crowned with a halo. It is the symbol of Venice most famously. Other depictions may include the lion with a sword or a bible at it's paws.
